To an extent N2 pressure does play a role in ride comfort. I wouldn’t drop below 150 psi on shocks. For a street driven vehicle, you cycle the suspension and build heat more than what some might think.

LMFAO. I should have caught on to that one. A smart moderator would get very drunk right now.

i did notice you brought yours back to 200psi. I've seen 150 mentioned frequently but haven't seen discussion on it around here. any direction you'd like to share on the topic?

Yeah! It's where you have random holes cut into your socks that way you won't know what to slips through the hole.

Really exhilarating when you know it's gonna happen but you don't know when or what toe

Depending what I’m doing, 150-200 is fine. Most people do 150-180.

In the next month, I will be wheeling in Africa (figuratively), and doing some higher speed stuff.

That's awesome! Have you had any issues with being on the higher side with pressure and temperatures busting the seals prematurely?

The only seal I have blown was due to a nick in a shaft in 5 years.

We had a guy on Tundras blow an end cap on his reservoir after a huge hit...but he said it most likely was due to other issues. Never found out what those issues were...

@ColoradoTJ Would you mind sharing some links of the parts your sourced for your N2 fill station? I was about to try and piece something together for my dirtbike shock I just rebuilt, but ended up dropping it off at the shop today. Would like to piece something together for future rebuilds of that and my truck shocks. Do you typically get that bottle filled at a paintball shop?

I'm in the same boat looking at coilovers, ready to replace my OME. Not to derail but wanted to piggyback as the topic is already here. Setup includes steel front bumper, full bamf skids, sliders, lca skids, rear hc bumper with swingout, leer cap, not sure total weight but my OMEs are wearing me out and near 60k on them. I'd like to replace both front and rear coilovers, running Dakar HDs and those still seem to be in good shape so I'd like to keep them on unless there's much better options to jump to while upgrading. Most of my driving is on road with some offroad on undeveloped sites or forest service roads, but our roads basically ride like a washboard road anyways so I figure if I'm replacing I should be happy. I can't seem to hit a pothole or crack in the road without feeling it in my ass. Pretty satisfied with the ride height and would like to keep it around the same (around 3" if I had to guess, forgot to measure when lifting lol). ELKA 2.5s with DC or King 2.5s with adjusters? I would keep my current suspension to use when rebuilding, thinking either 650 or 700 lb coils.
