I did the the grey wire mod and my locker will not work. when i press the button the light on the dash just blinks. there is no sound of it trying to engage. i just got the truck a little bit ago and i never tested it to make sure it worked because it was such a good deal. it is a 01 tacoma double cab trd offroad package. i would bet the person that had it never even had it 4 lo or used the locker. can anyone help?

Did you ground the right end of the wire? that is pretty important.

If you did the mod correctly, it will engage. Re check what you did, and make sure you did it propperly.

Yeah, you have to ground the wire that comes from the plug on the plug side.

The light will in fact come on. I went through it for about 5 minutes before I realized I grounded the wrong end of the wire I cut. Post a pic of how you did it.
