Got light bar and grill in last week. Excellent quality and packaging was great too. Even came in custom painted box for a nice touch. Now need to get everything on.

    cut out old center section

sand down the pieces left from cutting out the center section. Drill holes and bolt together. The hardest part is centering the new T emblem.

Thanks for posting lately I have been trimming all the extra plastic down to about 1/4 inch too just to leaving the tabs so it will still bolt in makes it a bit more clean.

Agreed. I left it like that in case I want to do the santoshi some day. I like it a bit better but dont like my body work skills. Although.. I think the body work would be easier than the cutting involved in removing the old grill. My dremel is too big to get into some of those areas.

I'd like to go in on the next batch of black hex grill for my 07. I'd like to get the center T in chrome (not black). Should I email you for specifics?

Is there a thread on the site that shows what is needed to install the lower insert? I looked but could not find one. I think that on the stock Tacoma bumper the lower grille is an insert but I did not see how to remove it. The Grillcraft site says that the bumper removal is only necessary on the X Runner Tacomas.

No there is not sorry, it does not remove I have done about 15 without removing it.

Just hold it in place you may need to bend it to fit a bit, use a right angle pick to mark your holes, pull it out and I stab the pick into the plastic for a pilot hole, you can get a drill bit from the back on the lower holes. Then from the outside again put your hand from the back and flex the top down with one hand and from the outside you can drill the holes... Hope this helps

THX Tim. I should start the install in August. I have been super busy with yard work and building a shed this summer. I have your products staged for the install. LOL

Your packing is second to none!
