Has anyone got a copy of an email they've used to hit up multiple dealers saying you want X truck with X accessories, do you have it and what is your offered price? In the past I've tried this avenue, but haven't had great response, so there must be a trick with wording to make them believe you're a serious buyer. Also thought this might be a helpful resource for forum members going forward. Did a few searches and couldn't find an actual example. Any help is appreciated.

I'm sure the dealer "internet sale departments" get inundated with keyboard tire kickers, so they'll probably either ignore and do very little for you with a generic email.
Do the work yourself, there are enough resources out there to find the dealers who have the vehicle + options you want, then target them. If you link the specific vehicle in their inventory you're interested in, they will be far more lightly to reply thinking you are serious.

my favorite: make them come to you.

Submit requests through every auto buying service you have access to (work, costco, aarp, usaa, etc). they'll contact you, and then you tell them what you want.

they get less money from those services if they don't respond.
