Hey OP, I hope you got your project done.

No pics from me. I don't have emergency lights on mine.

Am I the only one who noticed that OP never asked for legal advice?:D

Here in western new york, the blue lights are allowed for volunteer fire/ems personel.
I dont believe they can break any traffic laws with them, but growing up with them
most people try and get out of their way when responding to a call.

Jup, in SC you can legally run reds if your fire department head (Chief) allows it and you are a volunteer. Your vehicle will then be considered an emergency vehicle equal to a fully decked out cop car. However, red or red/white only.
Blue will get you jailed for impersonating an officer.

I have $400 worth of red lights and siren equipment ready to have installed in my Tacoma. Haven't had time yet. That will be the coolest mod yet :)

Here in MI it's red for Fire/EMS, and it's up to your Chief if you can run them on POV. I've been kicking it around for a few years now, but what worries me most is liability. From everything I have researched, you are fully liable and not covered by your department if you get in an accident while running code in a POV, regardless of who's fault it is. Do your research carefully. Gall's and Fire Authority have complete systems if you choose to go ahead with it.

I used to have a full length bar on my Tacoma, but I took it off. I don't think that I have any pics. What are you putting on your Taco? Currently, I use a single Whelen Talon mounted on the dash, but that will be coming off shortly. I am leaving for training then to Fort Sill, so I will be handing in my gear at the fire station. If I have time and there is a local volunteer station where I live in Oklahoma, I may decide to join there.
