Emergency brake lever pulled out too far... won't go back in

    93 pickup 04 tacoma
    7 inch lift and 4 inch lift
    Literally did this today. To get it back in I laid on the seat as to look in the hole it came out of , took a small screw driver from the back side under the dash and pushed the spring loaded catch upwards and then inserted the brake lever. This was on a 93 Toyota pickup.
