If you have damaged your truck in any way, the alignment would likely be off, resulting in your truck driving crooked. If this is not the case, don’t think on it further. No worries.

Worst case from hard braking is shifting the rear axle tube where it is bolted to the rear leaf springs. This is easily corrected if this took place.

Heck no, this is part of the problem of the snowflake generation. Too many breaks. Sure he's welcome here but gosh, expect hazing with a post like this. Take it like a man.

Why? most people know next to nothing about the vehicles they drive. Does every one who doesn't know the exact same information you do deserve to be treated poorly?

Ya, he posts, a bunch of people make fun of him and he doesn't post again, his fault for not having a sense of humor.

Some people do that on a daily occurrence. Your fine. Truck is designed to stop you in situations like that and not self destruct.

No worries at all friend, people have been slamming on brakes and then driving on since the invention of the automobile. Having ABS brakes makes it even better since you aren’t sliding along with the brakes locked at one spot of the tires. ABS will apply brakes and partially release in pulses, minimizing the time the tires are skidding on the road.
I like the pre-collision system I believe it actually saved me from rear ending a car as I approached a stoplight, even slowing the car down before I hit the brakes hard! I too was distracted for a moment as a line of cars started slowing down for the light, when I glanced back from whatever distracted me the car in front had hit their brakes for some reason and my Tacoma beeping and slowdown got my attention quick lol.
I wasn’t texting though I’m a boomer who hasn’t caused a road accident in all my years, so must have been checking that my walker was secured in the back
jk about the walker. It’s funny though I bet half the folks making fun of you actually asking a question about your truck in a truck forum *gasp* (lol) have caused more wrecks than either of us. ;)

Define “caused more wrecks”. Specifically does single car accident count as a wreck?

Ah good point haha. Guilty then of one of those, but I blame youth and beer and overcrowded public schools for that one.
Hope not he hasn’t a chance I roll straight and narrow lol

How would the axle housing shift? It has locating pins to hold it in position on the springs.

Oh man that looks rough. Since moving to Canada I've been using the Chevy Crestline, they aren't too bad. But oh lawd do I miss the Mercedes sprinters. 370,000 hard city miles on some of our rigs in London, and still going strong.
