I just made a lot of upgrades to my 2017 Tacoma off-road including suspension, UCA, lift, wheels, tires, brakes and rotors. When I got the Tacoma back I realized that when I tried to use the emergency brake, it felt completely loose. I live on a hill so I normally have to use it every day and before I got these upgrades it was very stiff and I could hear a cranking sound. I took a look under the vehicle and saw this tube hanging down. Does this have any correlation to the loose feeling of the parking brake?

No useful info to add, other than I think the E brake is a cable all the way back and have no idea what that hose is for.

That looks like a drain tube or breather tube

Okay, my second guess was that this had something to do with the diff breather

That's a breather tube for the transfer case, it should go up above it somewhere but that has nothing to do with the e-brake issue. If you look up under the bed right above the rear axle, there should be a steel cable that splits and goes to each wheel, I would bet they disconnected the cables when they did the lift.

That’s just your transfer case actuator breather. If you look up on the electronic box you should see an outlet that it needs to be reconnected to.
