Hey all...We got our asses kicked. New York city lost a huge portion of the Breezy point section of queens due to fire. I'm sure not many of you know what that is, but to us native new yorkers ( even ones like me who relocated across the bridges LOL) That was a small tight knit comunity on the beach. A portion of it was built by the FDNY.

Our neighboring department easton FD Had an LODD. I never met him, but from everything I have heard he was a great guy. Right before Emergency management called all services back to quarters, A tree fell crushing him against the rig. If you all could maybe just send out a prayer for the Easton CT Fire Department, and the Firefighters family that would be great.

Hope everyone is good. Stay safe.

I still haven't gotten power restored to my house yet, going on day 10 since the storm. I am using my Firehouse to charge my phone, laptop etc. My community finally has our department back up and running and the emergency call volume has slowed down so we are attempting to help others in need, sending a few of our crews down to breezy point to man their rigs so they can go home and spend time with their families and get some rest. Finally the "gas crisis" is slowing down as well in this area. Got to stay positive!

He was a great guy. Would do anything for anyone. He was a Lt at Evfd and a MRT at Easton Ems. I worked with him on ambulance. It's very sad.
