Empty dealership lots.

At the end of 2021, my oldest needed a car because her 2010 Nissan sentra's engine grenaded. it had 250k+ on the odo. easily got our $ worth out of that thing.
She got a Kia Forte at sticker. The car had just rolled off the truck. they only had a few other new cars on the lot, most had rolled off that same truck. they were selling them as quick as they came in.

BTW, blue book on my truck is more than what i paid for it. Bought it used back in 2018.

Manufacturers already said they are not going to have shitloads of dealer stock, if you want new you will just order what you want. I would buy new over used right now and that’s what I did with both my maverick and Tacoma. We paid MSRP and I walked away a few times when dealers refused to sell at msrp.

 

The wait on those is even longer if you want one now.

 

I just checked KBB and if I sold my truck private sale I could 39K Got me thinking!!! Of course, I would need to buy an sh$t box until the supply and demand got better!
