On my drivers side behind the plastic molding and under the fuse box their is an empty harness plug (also where the door ajar wires are)

anyway I know I need a pic, but was wondering if anyone knew what this was by description...

couldnt find it searching hoping maybe I once had a factory alarm or something!

finnally got my lazy butt up to go get some pics...

the harness's wires are really hard to follow past what you can see in the pic since it is tied in with another harness...

btw: this is the drivers side footwell.. on the carpet you can see the plastic "dead pedal" for reference!

no CEL codes, no? no unusual behaviors, no? strange plug that's probably generic for prerunners and 4x4 and you shouldn't worry about it and just tuck it back into its little hidey hole? Yes.

That's the plug for the optional flux capicitor to your warp drive. It was a factory option for only one year as it really made the truck undriveable with our low speed limits in the USA.

    ^^haha

It's not throwing any codes or anything like that, I'm just wondering if it was some option that I could easily plug something into it and have added capabilities on the truck.

Yes, $5 power chips plug right into that and your truck gets +7 mpg and +10 hp and can also turn into optimus prime. Do it.

depending on what factory radio you had, it could have been a harness that plugged into either another model factory radio or (doubtfully) an external disc changer...

btw if your factory radio is still working and is the model i'm looking for I'd be interested in buying it from you!...pm'd

    Hey rushr,

I just took a look at the harness again...it looks like I have that 1 connector, but in a diagram I found it looks like there are several "patch" cables that also split off into the TVIP brain...

    anychance you can elaborate?

do you by change have the factory alarm and care to take that kick panel off and snap a few pics of it?... :)
