I was going to order a bunch of stuff this month to get the chassis done. but this virus thing happened and now my paychecks a big ???

Hopefully when this all blows over i can get the rest of what i need done to the chassis.. goal is to have a rolling chassis with power train by the end of the year and the body in the body shop this winter. we shall see. My tundras pretty much done.. just tidying up to do in the interior and shes ready to start moving this taco around on a trailer. (i may put my 4runner engine and trans in the truck to get it derivable again.)

Well. Little update for y'all. Slowly resealing a 1997 4runner engine i got for free a little of a year ago, same for its trans. This engine will also be getting the 3vz-fe cams to see how the truck drives with them (worried about the low end really). And I MIGHT put the supercharger on it. not sure yet.

this setup will be going in the truck on its old frame just to get things moving again. progress on the new frame is slow.. but its happening

Got the head off the 97 4runner engine. At 252k she’s got some sludge, but internal wise the motor looks really healthy. So passenger side head will be in the parts washer to get as clean as I can get it, then stripped to replace all the valve seals. Camry cams will go in and I’ll set clearance all set. May even put shingles buckets in for less valve train mass

    The Bed is stock...ish

So, will the stock ecu be able to handle the different cams?

That’s the big question I’m hoping to answer. I’d imagin the ecu will adjust accordingly

Tryin as I can. Works picked up again so my free time to clean parts up has gone away. (Hell I have 2 engines and a transmission to do in the next 2 day’s) But I keep slowly working on things.

Gotta bring home a bunch of brake clean and clean off the block next... that’ll be fun
