after 3 remotes i was finally able to get a key fob to work for the keyless entry. ive noticed the headlights come on with a lock/unlock cycle, for about 15 seconds it does this with the key as well..but it doesnt always do this. my question is can this be disabled? can the horn be programmed to chrip with this as well?? my truck does have the red "valet" button on the left side just below steering column.

I have been searching high and low on this same feature, trying to disable the headlights/foglights coming on when the wireless remote locks or unlocks the doors. I am not talking about the park lights flashing, I want to keep that feature. I have taken my 2011 to the local dealer and two different Techstream programs did not have the ability. There must be some combination of fob presses and light position to enable/disable.

Resolved!!!! After much digging I found the way to disable this feature! There are two leads from the alarm unit spliced into the headlight wires on the back of the Multiplex Body ECU (fuse box), located inside the left part of the under dash. Simply access the back of the ECU and unplug either or both spliced wires; blue wire for the headlights/fog lights and brown wire for the interior lights. They run from the alarm controller to the spliced headlight wires, white and green-white. Now I can be happy again!! :)

Hi, It should be, Mine is 2011 and I believe 2005 till 2011 were the same.

When you get to the back of the plug you should see the spliced in wires, long as you have the same installed alarm system.
