Maybe more applicable to hybrids, although change is change

It's called progress. EVs are more reliable to me than any ICE. Easy solution is to not buy an EV.

The amount of guessing and lack of mature debate is astonishing.

...^^^... I was reading where the new Ford Lightning batteries will cost $30,000. USD to replace. Crazy expensive.

And we still have to burn Dinosaur Oil to recharge the batteries. WTF o_O

And ... for the most part ... 70% Capacity and up Batteries are NOT considered replaceable under warranty.

So you can have a 30% battery efficiency loss and be still be consider OK under the warranty.

The EV brain washing is real people. ICE vehicles are going to be around for quite some time. Toyota is smart enough to realize that. GM is, as well. They just sunk nearly $1B into their next V8 design. Battery charge and KWH must be much better for general adoption.

    The ICE brainwashing happened first.

While an EV isn't for me, Toyota has decades of experience with EV technology. Hybids have both EV and traditional gasoline technologies. The Prius is probably the most reliable hybrid on the planet.

Just more guessing with no actual fact. Don't people get tired of misinforming others? Guess not.

Well that's the thing. When a battery pack goes bad it only take a few cells to report a bad pack and the good batteries are put into another pack. Someone I saw took a bad Tesla pack that was reporting faulty, found the bad cells, like 5 of them, replaced them and now the entire pack is good. This is where regulators need to step in.

I think someone had a bad experience on a WalMart electric cart and projects that onto all EVs.

Long ago my mom has to run some errands after picking me up from the dentist, and I was still so hopped up on anesthesia that I couldn't walk more than 15 steps at a time. So instead of leaving me in the car she made me ride the cart around the store. That was a mistake. I crashed it into a bread display and high centered it over a cardboard cutout of the wonderbread bear.

I honestly don't remember much after that. But fuck those carts.
