On a serious note, could it last maybe a couple of days without separating...at least till the new one gets here?

It looks to have a piece missing and is it cracked?

If so I wouldn't trust it.

    What happened?

Asking for trouble running that yoke, flailing driveshaft is able to do much damage.

Sorry it took so long top respond. Off work and I can't resist slapping a new coat of paint on the shaft since it's out.

I knew that would be the answer but I hate to miss work. Guess it's short trips and talking it easy in 4 Hi this weekend

2 nice chunks missing. One on inside, one on the outside as seen here

Started getting the u joint takeoff/coast shudder about a week ago and waited too long to fix I'm guessing. Really no telling how long it has been like that...got lucky this time.

    +1

Definitely. Don't feel like testing the driveshaft pogo stick myth with the Taco quite yet lol.

Thanks for the info... Be careful and don't take chances. I've had one come out doing 45 MPH in a 66 Mustang. It was not fun. The pogo stick was more like a pole vault. The car was never the same afterwards.

    Best of luck to you.
