Speakers will arrive any day now guys! :) BTW, I have one buyer of the 6.5" Clarus component set as well as the 5 1/4" rear mids and complete set of baffle/adapters that has run into a little bit of financial difficulties so he has asked me to sell them for him if I can. If anyone is interested please let me know ASAP!

Well UPS FINALLY dropped off the rest of the speakers this morning so now the fun part of packing begins! I was expecting these several days ago according to the tracking which would have allowed me time to pack and ship by today but it looks like I'll be spending the weekend doing it! If you don't get a shipping invoice by Sunday evening please let me know right away! Almost forgot, I still have the Clarus 6.5" set and the 5 1/4" mids available!

Well, they are very pretty sitting in their box in my bedroom. I was already sick last week so I can't really disappear from work, heh.

I got a bit further - I got brave and carpeted the box. My seams are definitely amatuer (mine isn't just a square so there's some weird corners). You can't tell unless you start inspecting. Worst part is that my fingers are fuzzy.

There's something to be said for doing it yourself, but it usually involves lots of cursing.

I hunted all day for a freaking distribution block (I wanted two, but every place just had one and everyone carries a different type) and a terminal cup (thanks to Radio Shack for being the only place in Portland that has them on hand -WTF).

Also talked with Marv about sound deadening, and it's going to be a lot more feasible than I originally thought.

I'm going to order stuff up from RAAMaudio and Knukonceptz, so I have to wait for shipping before more happens!

Mine have been in for about a week now. They sound great! I hear things in the music I'd never heard before. I am still trying to find a time to get Marv on the phone and tune the speakers properly.
I have done complete sound deadening and it makes a world of difference.

Woot for Best Buy, found my distribution blocks. $20 cheaper than the stereo shop wanted to sell, plus I don't have to wait for shipping.

I'll probably start a "build" thread soon

Hey guys..Some of you may have noticed I got a little excited about the Hybrid Audio speakers after trying them since I believe as many others do that they are by far one of the best values in speakers sounding far better than the price may lead you to believe in comparison to many others costing quite a bit more. The icing on the cake with these in my eyes was the fact that the Clarus line was designed specifically to work VERY well in factory speaker locations which is a great benefit for most here and something I have not found in many other speakers I have used. The company is owned by a gentleman (Scott Buwalda) such as myself who has a passion for car audio and chooses to "do it all himself" so he can control the outcome of the finished product to make sure the car audio fanatic on the other end gets the absolute best sound he can for his money! :)
For these reasons (and the overwhelming positive response from those that purchased Hybrid Audio Speakers on my suggestion :)) I requested and was granted the privilege of being an official dealer for Hybrid Audio Technologies! :D I will be posting detailed information on MY FORUM HERE as soon as I get a chance however you can contact me directly (calling is best) for special Tacoma World incentives. :)
