keep us in the loop, would be a great budget alternative to other options if they perform just as well.

Will do. Been needing to properly setup my front bumps and saw this thread and where it was going...I'll be the test monkey on these.

i run these currently. Good budget upgrade over stock but i'm not sure they come close to the hype that other options get around here

We have feedback!! Glad they are working out!

From what i have learned, if you dont have the same stuff as the person you are talking to on here then whatever you have is garbage.

Well for more proper feedback: The height of the bumps are about spot on for the low level of travel in the front but it does kinda feel like there isn't enough there. Still a little clunky like stock but not as bad. Bang for the buck for sure tho. Like i said before the other options get a shitton of hype around here so i've yet to find out for myself if those others are over-hyped or these don't meet the hype

They break stupid easy!! You can spray them with pb blaster or something from the inside of that mount part and use a torch to heat them up a bit as well. Keep a wet rag around if you use heat so the paint doesn't catch fire on ya

Well since Wheelers SuperBumps apparently just went up from $62.50 to $99.99 ,I resorted back to looking for a cheaper alternative.

Thankfully, I stumbled upon a set of these Energy bumps on Amazon warehouse for only $19. Think that’ll serve me just fine for now.

They’ll ship for like $8 but you have to contact them. Annoying but at least they’ll do it. If it wasn’t for their crap shipping calculator I would’ve already impulse bought f&r superbumps.

I finally got a chance to put the energy bumps on yesterday. They’re definitely harder than SuperBumps but way better than the OEM rocks.

Install is very straight forward but if you don’t have a 5/16” hex socket, it will take forever using a hex wrench small enough to fit in that space yet long enough to get to the bottom on the bump. I started with a hex wrench and verrry quickly grabbed a socket.
I added some blue loctite to the threads, put the washers on the bottom as the instructions say, turned the wheels to full lock on each side and knocked them out. I found the stock bumps easy to remove with a large pair of channel locks.

    Looks good!

For anyone else installing these or super bumps, i found it to be easier to grab an old hex and cut it down to be short enough to fit.

jesus, for that price might as well go with durobumps. Thanks for the heads up as I usually recommend them because of their price point.

Agreed. And that’s exactly what I plan on doing for my rears.

I PM’ed them about it hoping it was a website error and they cited a)supplier price increases and b)still being lower than their closest competition, Timbrens. Both may be valid but no way to confirm the supplier price increase.
No offense to them at all, but that level of price increase really rubs me the wrong way. The fact that they can(could) offer them at $65, makes it extremely difficult to pay $100 regardless of competition.

I also noticed that they raised price on the rears but not by 40%, which makes me question the validity of the supplier price increase vs taking advantage of a market opportunity. I used to do pricing strategy for a global company, so maybe I’m reading into this too much. :notsure:

Those following this thread might find interesting the rabbit hole I just went down the past 24hr.

Rear bumps from a 99-06 GM 1500, using the same type of material, microcellular polyurethane foam, as SuperBumps. These specific bumps (GM# 15712438) have been used on many different applications and seem to be well suited for our trucks. I took the plunge and ordered a set, now just have to order my U bolt flip kit. Basically we’re looking at rear bumps for around $50-60 all in including spacers and hardware.

Old thread revival, any long term update on those energy suspension front bump stops? Worthy improvement over oem and would you recommend them over dropping $100+ on something else
