My first vehicle was black 1990 mazda, extra cab, b2200 5spd, carburated. Great experience! Haha.

It had those chrome early 90s pathfinder wheels. No tach and took a while get up to speed. Fun highschool times.

I saw quite a few b2600i 4x4s driving around and that was my dream truck at the time. I never see them anymore though. Still see a lot of 80s and 90s toyota pickups in great shape on the road.:)

Piqued. And no the whole idea is to have no fuel to the engine. 4l would help though

I know it's been awhile since I've posted on this thread but I have not come up with a resolution for this. Is anyone aware ECU tune or any other mod that would help solve this problem. It would be nice to have a descent switch something like an engine brake.

I have not heard of anything. CAVEAT: although I’m aware of the issue, it hasn’t been a big deal to me personally so I haven’t spent any time researching it.

I have a 2019 3.5L MT and haaaaaate the fact that there’s basically no engine braking. Have had manuals my whole life (49 years) and still have several other vehicles, all with stick shifts, so it’s not just me. This truck lacks any significant engine brake and it’s driving me nuts. Please tell me there’s a way to disable the fueling…?

It's been 3 and 1/2 years since my initial post. Has anyone come up with anything. I emailed the guys over at D3 Performance and they do not specifically address the issue with their tune but I am thinking of going that route to tune my ECU as I have recently added a MBRP 3" cat back exhaust and a S&B cold air intake now that my truck is paid off. I am hoping to come up with a work around, I just don't know enough about the systems that govern the fuel system. Maybe the tuning software and data logging will shed some light.

Is it possible that some other circuit not related to the ECO is causing the truck to accelerate when the engine drops to 1500 rpm?

I am hoping that by keeping this thread alive, someone smarter than me will have figured something out.
