engine bay splash guard upgrade?

    at first was going to ask what the point of it is
    but then I found an explanation saying it's because the stock ones have weak coverage
    but upgrading it gives a lot more protection
    At first just wanted to replace some of my broken clips, but while in there might as well do this

    that being said; which one is the best option?
    So far I see two:

    I think this comes down to cost.

    DIY or pay for it.


    The DIY that @Shveet has up in that thread are awesome. If you can find the correct material to make it out of.


    I had the design 1st and he improved it once I gave it to him. His has more coverage than mine in the front area at the rad.

    I have a heavy bias buuuut he's right.
    Its time to cost you are willing to work with here.

    If you can find the material, then it's simple tracing and cutting to get this made, fit and finish falls entirely on how well you cut along the lines and there might be slight variations.

    On the other hand you can skip all of that and get the premade from the 2nd link.

    Regardless what you use, both will be significantly better than the stock.
