    You don’t have to but it will start, run and warm up better if you do.

    Fair point, though I usually run the truck anyway to warm up for the 10 minutes I have to spend shovelling my driveway and clearing snow off the truck

    Ok so I'm going to be storing my truck for a little bit while I go on vacation. Before I leave I'm changing my oil to 0w30 or 5w30, adding a fuel additive to get rid of water, and putting a trickle charger on my battery so I don't come back to a dead battery

    I am lucky to see a 4 day weekend a few times a year

    that really sucks I take ten days every three months but then I go a month without pay due to our bi weekly pay

    Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
    Same for me in Montana, I use Mobil 1 0W-30 and fires up even at -20 no problem.
