Hey everybody, I'm new to world forums. Just really hoping somebody could help me out. My truck recently started acting up. When I'm driving if I go to pass someone in the truck reaches about 4000 RPM' S the engine all of a sudden bogs down and then if you try to give it any gas it vibrates really hard and you have no power. It stops if I pull over turn off the truck and turn it back on it's just fine but each time it's revved up it does the same thing. If anybody could help me out I would appreciate it.

sounds like its misfiring, maybe check spark plugs/coils/wires.

No K & N air filter, but I was told previously could be the spark plugs coil overs or wires. But I'will have to check the fuel pump as well. Do you know about how much that runs?

Could be as simple as spark plugs. Try replacing them first. I had a misfire code on my old X-Runner and it ran rough under acceleration. It was just a bad plug.

    ^^This.

Anyway do the easy stuff first: plugs, MAF clean, and work your way uphill. Before you drop the tank and pull the pump (not a real fun job) see if someone can check fuel pressures (a special Toyota adapter is called for).
