Picked mine up with about 31 miles on it. 105 miles one way home. Trip to Tennessee shortly after with less than a 1000 miles. Sitting at 49,000 on it right now and no issues.

It’s ruined, don’t believe what these other guys are saying. They’re just all in denial. :bananadance:

Change the oil and filter at 1500 miles.
Then drive it like you stole it.

and change the rear differential fluid also. It’s cheap and easy.

I drove mine home ~700 miles from the dealer I got it from. So far so good but only at 4k now. I tried to vary it up some but there was a lot of long flat stretches of highway...

I've owned dozens of used cars, clueless about how they were broken in, often with only partial maintenace records.

Only those built in the 60s ever burnt any oil, and I've never had an engine failure.

One head gasket on a late 90s model, which had nothing to do with the breaking 100k before that.

Break in in modern mass produced engines is over rated.

It's fine, don't worry about it because it's done and in the past my man. FWIW I coddled my previous vehicle, extra oil changes and preventative maintenance, and ended up having issues anyways (e.g. head gasket replaced, timing cover leak, etc). Meanwhile my buddy supercharged his Mustang and drives it like he stole it 24/7 and has had no issues whatsoever lol.

When I bought mine in 2018 I asked the sales dude if I should bring it in for the first oil change at 500 or 1,000 miles due to engine break in.

He told me the engines were already broke in and to bring it in at 10,000 miles or a year which ever came first.

I’ve said this a few times on this forum but I bought mine this year brand new in IL, pulled it outta the box and immediately death marched it back to CA. I put 1900 miles on it the first 4 days I owned it. It’s fine and so are you boss man

Same when i bought my 2012 prius and 2020 tacoma. The prius has nearly a 100k on it with just the manufactures recommended 0-20W oil changes, and a set of rear brakes...front's still ok. This car has given us zero trouble so far. Doesn't touch a drop of oil. All this bs about earlier oil changes is just pissing money down the chitter.

Man, people just have to find shit to worry about these days! Do you really think 160 miles of normal driving is going to trash a new engine?

Drive it like ya stole it!!!! Drive hard and you wont have any issues, if you baby it, it'll have to relearn how you actually want it to drive later.
