Engine built in what country??

so when i bought my truck i remeber seeing a sticker in the window with the engine and transmission build locations. I own a 2018 double cab, automatic, with the 2.7 engine. I have looked at all my stickers and throughout manual but couldn't find a thing. Not even the dealer could give me the info im looking for! any info would be appreciated.

1st, SR, 4 cylinder engine and 5 speed MT from Japan


2nd, TRD Sport, 6cyl engine- USA, 6 speed MT- Thailand


3rd, SR5, 4cyl engine Japan, 6 speed AT- USA

 

Awsome! now question is, "is the japan plant making all the 2.7 engines for north America??"

 

Yeah, for now I guess.

I could care less where these components ( engine ,transmission) are built as long as they live up to Toyota's reputation for long term reliability and parts availability. but only time will tell.

 

So where is the other 20% coming from?

 

Had no idea that there actually Japanese parts in it. Figured since it was assembled in North Merica the parts would be same
