So my check engine light came on and i have 2 codes. One is a p0011 and the other is a p0016. The p0011 is a cam pos.actuator and the p0016 is a cam/crank pos.correlation sensor. Both are for bank 1. Ive been reading and seen it could be a number of other sensors making these codes appear. Has anyone had these appear on their truck. Im not sure what to replace first.Any help would be great. Thanks

I would actually say the odds are high that it is the CAM Position Sensor ( this is the one that the rodents love to chew on the wires ). The Cam/Crank Position Correlation would also be caused by the Cam Sensor as all it means is that the Cam and Crankshaft seem to not be in time with one another.

Thanks Jimmy for the advice but i have a question maybe you have an answer for. Should i bother with the oil control valves as that's another thing I've read that would make these codes appear? Thanks again

Yes, That is a good possibility also. the Oil control valve getting stuck would indeed cause these codes. It could also be the oil control valve filters...

When you check the oil control valve the resistance of the coil should be ; "> 6.9 to 7.9 at 20°C (68°F). As per the service manual.

I had p0011 and p0016 with check engine light on. Very rough idle and difficult driving at low speeds with the manual transmission , wanting to shudder and buck , only way to drive is with some extra throttle and lower gear . Replaced bank 1 , passenger side vvt solenoid/oil control valve $180 ,and camshaft position sensor $94 , --- fixed and check engine went away after a couple of stops .
