This could be used as the Wikipedia description of the Gen3 Tacoma. Maybe add inconsistent panel gaps & door fits, but otherwise spot on.

Yet the sum of all those parts still equals a pretty awesome truck.

Expect Gen4 to continue that theme. If it bothers someone who just traded their Subaru on a Taco, then maybe see your local Hyundai dealer about a Santa Cruz.

aw man that Santa Cruz had so much potential…what designer and team thought that front-end looked good?! And why only go 1/3 the way with an offroad truck car similar to the Subaru Baja (Subaru made it worthy)

this is happening to me. it seams if it only happen when I let the car sit for 10-30 min half crank then boom it starts when normally it takes 2 or 3. have you figured anything out? everyone keep telling me not to worry about it but it just seams odd.

This is the second time I’ve ever heard someone complain that their engine starts too fast. 1st world problems. You could try pouring some sugar in the gas tank to slow it down. No guarantees. YMMV

I have the same thing but in a different truck. I put updated fuel injectors in my 2000 S10 4.3 and ever since it starts as soon as I tap the key. Like it's running before the freaking computer knows it's running, so occasionally it will sputter a few times before running smooth.

OP I would guess your fuel injectors are super clean and spitting properly!

    Work in progress...
Trade it for a Chevy, and some good walking boots.

The only engine that I’ve ever driven that did this same thing was my 2015 2.4 L Jeep patriot. It would do it on hot summer days with the engine warmed up under the sunshine. Guess the starter doesn’t need to work as hard sometimes.
