If you have no check engine light I'd start by checking powers and grounds at the ECM if those are good then you need to check if you have 5v ref.

you've got an intermittent short on that circuit, something is drawing too much current and blowing the fuse. I'd start there

Are you driving around with something plugged into the DLC?

The only place I see the OBD Fuse going is to the Data Link Connector for the OBD Reader power.

I don't think that is the problem as it doesn't do anything else, unless you have something plugged into the Data Link Connector for OBD2. And if you do unplug it and replace the fuse again. If it still blows you have a shorted wire.

I don’t have anything plugged in. Once I get some time I will start tracing wires. It rained the night before the check engine light went off this last time. Don’t know if that would have anything to do with it.

It doesn’t appear that the new fuse is blown, so I am really scratching my head now. I replaced it and still no Check Engine Light.

Does all the electrical power blink out for a second when the engine dies? Do the dash lights stay on the whole time the problem happens? The battery cables might be clean and tight but what about a loose connection at the other end, like the cable grounds on the frame and engine

Be nice to catch the stalling in the act with a fuel pressure gauge hooked up. But of its a fuel pump issue the pressure isnt going to go away in an instant, the engine usually will bog and struggle for a few seconds before stalling.

If the engine shuts off quick like flipping a light switch, it makes me think its ignition related. Failing crank sensor that just won't code?

It does just light switch off.
I don't think I checked the connections to the frame or engine. I will double check.
I will look into the crank sensor as well as the wiring.
Im just glad I have a Tundra to drive while I am searching for the issue.

Like the entire truck? Dash lights, headlights, everything?

    Or just the engine

easiest way to diagnose is when it wont start, check light not working may not be related, if no start check for fuel pressure or give it a whiff of starting fluid, if it starts its a fuel problem. but ideally best time to test fuel pump pressure is during the no start condition

5C5D9212-D111-47F0-91F3-82CE720A0256.jpgSo I plugged in the Scan Gauge tonight and it kept saying “connecting.......”.
So my neighbor brought over his scanner and thisnis what it said. I tried to reaet the computer by unhooking the negative cable on the battery for a few hours, but I got the same message.
    Any ideas???
I haven’t gotten to the fuel or spark checks yet.

No communication, I would seriously check ECM powers, grounds, and 5V ref circuit.

In the ECM file on page ES-42 it says to refer to page ES-402.
On the ECM file on the bottom of page ES-42 it says to refer to page ES-402. I searched for it and could not find it.
Would you happen to have access to ES-402?AD19F99C-EA7B-48F6-8CEF-00B2AA777C26.jpg

These may help. ES-402 doesn't seem to have much info.
