kind like reviews on anything online.... people feel the need to write a review when things go south. Possibly the same for these people when their engines go before its time.

That’s not an elephant, it’s a gnat flying out of an elephants azz lol.
So post count equals superior maintenance and engine longevity? Quite an irrelevant and small statistical basis for that insinuation Bwahaha :D

its not an accurate representation of the longevity of the engine if this forum is just a catch all for enthusiast and people who have issues.

Agree TW isn’t an adequate representation of engine longevity. But that has nothing to do with my responses
to another poster so not sure why you’re responding to me.

You told Toyota your engine is making a tapping sound and they immediately went to rebuild or replace? No diagnosis?

Don't pay attention to the vultures coming to feed on 3rd gen suffering, they had troubled childhoods.

I would call it a fact! i was on the 2nd gen forum for 6 years and would have noticed stuff like this,. blown cylinders, burnt valves, leaking timing chain cover and the list goes on for 3rd gen. if i were thinking of getting a 3rd gen but read in depth the crap that is happening with the 3rg gen i would pass. IMO

If you chill out a little might last here on the site. Getting aggressive and name calling is a sure fire way to get booted off the site. Cheers man.

I guess you missed the collapsing motor mounts, blown heads, and grenading rear diffs, and glass release bearings. My 2008 lost two release bearings and one slave cylinder in 60k miles.

I just had a full rebuild on the 3.5, around $7.5K out the door. Took 4 months to source OEM parts, aftermarket internals had a longer lead period and would have set me at around $10k.
