I just bought a 2011 TRD Sport (4x4, double cab, short box, w/JBL audio) but I havn't picked it up yet. I noticed today that no Engine Immobilizer is listed on the specs sheet. I assumed this was standard since all trucks that I customized/built via their website have it listed under Safety Features.

Am I worrying for nothing or should I arrange that this be installed before I pick it up?

I'm guessing that with the V6 you have it.

I don't think 4s do, but haven't confirmed yet by getting a duplicate key.

Unless they have changed it from '06, the 4 cyls also have the same immobilizer system. Coded keys with valet keys that can start the truck but not be used to make a copy.

I assume you are buying it from the States to import? If so, you will probably have to prove that it has the immobilizer. I would ask the dealership for a list of the specs, the dealership I used was abe to give me a list based on my VIN which showed the immobilizer.

Last time I looked, anything SR5 or higher received the immobilizer (the coded keys).
