I have noticed a subtle engine howl that sounds like it is a air rush in the intake system. It happens usually when I just start to throttle back a little after I have my foot in it. I do not hear it at freeway speeds. I am wondering if this sound is being created by the switch to Atkinson Cycle from Otto Cycle.

Can't help with that, but wonder why anyone would wonder that??

Every new tundra I've been in does this to some degree, it's quiet and subtle in those. My 16 also does it but I also have the Afe intake and didn't notice it before install.

Too bad it is not the sweet sound of a turbo.
