OP, had the same rattle ive posted about it before but followed everyone's advice and nothing I had a Mac. Tell it was my Cad convert from my exhaust the stealership told me
It was a hose on the intake.

So after months of battling the crap I dropped it of at the dealership and said fix it no matter what!

So far rattle at 16-18 k
And a leaking rear dif. Guy said its that there is too much play between the dif and driveshaft??????

On a good note I got new shoes for her:)

    GL OP
hopefully you don't have to get a new engine and it's just replacing some

Well now that I think about it, when the engine shut down when the oil light came on, I checked the dip stick and the oil level was EXTREMELY low (like below the first dot), but not empty...does that make a difference?

When you checked the dipstick, did you already notice that you're drain bolt had disappeared?

Perhaps surprising to some people, Toyota engines still require motor oil of the proper weight to function correctly.

Just keep adding til it dribbles out the filler neck. Then cap it off.

    Yep that's the right one.

And don't forget to put some in your radiator for good measure

Nope, I went and bought some oil, came back and filled it up, checked the dipstick, but this time it was COMPLETELY empty...that's when I looked under and noticed that the drain plug was out and oil pouring out like a faucet.

When then the first time you checked the oil, the dipstick reading was not accurate and the oil had pretty much all drained out.

I'm still thinking you roasted some bearing's and/or internal parts. Disregard the intake as the culprit because that is the least of worries right now.

I'm just wondering... Are you still drving the truck every day?

Nope, haven't driven it since I brought it home. Just started the engine just now and revved it a little, sounds okay but we shall see
