Is it "engine knocks"? Truck has not been abused other than a few hard passes on the highways. It seems to be getting louder and louder.

Still under Warranty ? Bring it in...
How does the oil on the dipstick look, smell, etc.?

Also, Get under and check for something loose. Heat shield, Drivers side plastic fender/bolts, etc.

I have been changing my own oil because I have trust issues with the dealership kids pouring cheap engine oil in my Taco then close the hood. I pray to God Toyota would not use it as an excuse to not fix the noise if it is in fact an engine problem. I'll schedule an appt to get it checked out for sure.

I think the call is up to the service dept. I think this has been discussed in the past but you should be fine. The best of luck.
