Could it be something else more serious? I will get it checked when I get back and get the code

yeah just run it over to auto zone or pep boys and have them pull the code for free, post it up here and someone will surely have had some experience with it.

If the check engine light is solid and isn't flashing then it's not likely an issue that requires immediate attention (as in, skip getting the code pulled at Pep Boys and take it to the shop right now).

    Reserected from the dead.
Does it engage four wheel drive? If no, you most likely have a bad wheel speed sensor. ABS braking won't occur either.

There is also the issue with the intake exhaust plate thing that toyota won't cover on a recall. Can't remember what the thread was called. I know the 4R and the tundra had the issue. @slcsez2000 ? I think most of them were going into limp mode though

This is all speculation. Pulling the code (for free) will provide the real answer.

This happened to me. Broke an ABS speed sensor and was around $150 for a replacement sensor.

Holy balls, thank you, someone finally said it. It could be your engine is about to explode!!!!!! Nobody knows anything until you get the code checked, OP. Come back with the code numbers or if Vatozone can tell you what the codes mean, and let us know.

I have a 2010 Prerunner that was doing a similar thing (CEL and Skid Indicator). Pulled the codes, which showed "evaporative" something or another. This was the second time this showed up in about a week, so I took the gas cap off, cleaned it along with where it screws in. Cleared the codes and it has not shown up since.

Just a little update. I couldn't pull my 750lb trailer today. It seemed like I had very little power and couldn't go over 40mph. Took it off and truck ran fine and came home. Getting the code Monday hopefully
