The ecu is more than likely throwing a code of some sort. If you get a code reader or go to auto zone and have them read the code for you, someone can chime in with better advice! Good luck!

Buy a SCII, Ultragauge, or the Torque app and a dongle.

Read and clear your own codes next time.

    +1 on the Torque app.

$4.99 for the app on your phone and +/- $30 for a bluetooth/wi-fi OBDII plug-in. Just open up the app, scan for codes and go from there. Plus with the Torque app you can monitor all the things a Scangauge does as well (engine/intake/transmission temps, AFR ratio, sensor readings, etc.).

Only thing that sucks about it is it drains your phone battery like crazy. At least it does on mine.

I agree if all you want is a hand held scanner of sorts.

I personally don't care for it as a monitor, because it keeps the phone tied up and the battery hit as you mention.

But it is a good inexpensive reader option.

SCII is my go to for a semi permanent mount. Have one in each vehicle. They are at least interesting on road trips if not needed operationally for the vehicle. And I do like seeing that trans temp........ makes you feel good.

The little otc/Matco pocket reader is a good deal. Also they have some higher end models for obd codes, abs and air bag. Autozone will read the code for free and try to sell you the part they think will fix it. This is not a diagnostic. Best to just get the code pulled and report back.

Since I have owned my truck, just over 1 1/2 years. I have had this happen twice.

The 1st time it was winter, I was turning left and it was icey. I gave a little to much throttle and got the back end loose, traction control kicked in and straightened the truck out. Then the exact lights you have one turned on for me. Used Torque app on my phone when I got home and reset the codes with my OBDII bluetooth device that is always in the truck. Lights did not come back on so I figured it was just a fluke with the traction control throttling the engine and such.

2nd time was just random, pulled up to a stop light, no dash lights. Light turns green and I pull away, both lights are on. Same thing, get home use Torque and OBDII bluetooth device, reset codes. Gone and have not come back.

I decided if it happens again, it will see the dealership and they can tell me why my brand new truck is pooping itself.

Trac light usually means wheel speed sensor issue. Probably the wires leading too.

The trac system can also be calibrated. Look up the zero point calibration.

Also, you can check your code by jumpering leads on your obd2 port.

Lastly, use the search feature. This topic has been discussed many times and lots of info is on there already
