When merging to hi-way and getting an speed of 80KM at about 2000rpm and when continue pressing the gas pedal no increase of power and rpm for this situation I full over into the shoulder and stop in motion while the engine is idle. Open the hood and visual inspection was OK and there was no uncommon sound so I merge again into the hi-way and it goes to normal. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.Raffy

It's choking out or what, what gear are you in, is it auto or stick? I think some more info, elaborate a bit more, might help.

4 cylinder? Don't try to merge onto the highway at 2000 RPMs. Stay geared down like 3rd gear. Keep RPMs above 3000 until you get to a cruise speed, then shift up.

Is it still cold in Toronto? Do you have the "cold air" mods?
Could there have been some intake icing or water in the fuel?
