Hi - I am not yet used to this noise. I found one thread where noise was described as loud when next to a wall. It was described by many as normal, but this was years ago. It is like a loud click or tick, revs faster as rpms increase, but is gone when engine goes. Only notice it when engine is idling. It sounds like it is not as loud as it comes out, but is magnified somehow. I can hear it from open drivers window. Metallic subtle overtone to it. Two mechanics listened and neither recognized it. it does not sound like pistons, etc. It does not burn oil and mileage is good. It has auto trans, and was really well cared for. This happens with warm engine only. Burn 87 octane. There have been other posts, but am trying to find out if anyone has actually tracked it down. Please limit replies to non-opinions please.
