Just bought a 2015 Tacoma with the V-6 motor. Right after turning the ignition key to the off position, it sounds as though the motor is trying to continue to run. So what's going on? The service tech at my dealer tried to explain it to me but being an "old guy", I just didn't get it the first time around. Whatever....according to him, it's normal.

Yeh, I know..."noise" not "nose", but at least I caught your attention.

Try having a supercharger. I was standing outside my truck today and a water pump turned on by itself. Keys were in my pocket.

Yes. Sounds like a diesel for about half second then a diminishing whine. Normal. Couldn't tell you what it is.

Yes it's normal, it's your smog pump...and you will soon notice that your truck will make a buzzing noise coming from the rear a few hours after driving it (also normal) :)

A buzzing noise from the rear? Seriously, what causes the buzz from the rear? Just couldn't help it. I had to ax.
