Hi to all. Trust this thread finds you well... I have hit a dead wall on this.... I have searched on the web, forums (including this one) in regards to where I can find the engine number. On the owner manual there is a drawing the show you an idea.... basically on the right side Lower part... but is very vauge.... I have been looking and looking... can seem to find it....

Also, on some post there is a suggestion that sticker that is on the front head of the engine is the number of it... any leads on this are highly appreciated.

Check the flywheel area of the block on driver's or pax's side. See if the stamped numbers match the label.
Update: pax side. Peak through the the wheelwell.

Hi to all. I can confirm that the engine number on my 2021 Tacoma is tamped on the block, passenger side. You remove the plastic mud cover on the front passenger fender, look on the flywheel area. Is also the number that is on the sticker on the left cylinder head.

So the odd thing is only tacomas built at the Guanajuato Mexico plant come with the sticker on the front of the engine. Those engines for that factory are supplied from Alabama engine plant, where the Baja plant got their engines from the Kentucky motor plant.
