A 1 quart Mobil 1 bottle cut in half screws in to the oil fill neck as well.

I actually did buy one of those last year, and don't regret it one bit. Your cut down jug works well on the 1gr with the filler neck, but for the wife's corolla, the plastic engine cover sits too close to the recessed oil filler for it or the other bottles to fit. And, since I'm not planning on driving anything but 'yotas anytime soon, and got tired of cleaning up small oil spills off the engine, I bought one for the convenience. I justified it by saying I saved that much in 1.5 oil changes doing it myself.:D

    Ditto.

Pour in the first quart, then pour in most of a 5qt jug and call it a day.
The left over 1/2qt gets used in the wife's Rav4.

No worry about cleaning the funnel or storing it so it stays clean... I just thread in the first quart bottle, then when it's empty, slice the bottom off with my knife.

Haha! Oil saved is a definite plus! That's great that you're getting the use out of it. it's defiantly true to say that the bottle top funnel idea only fits so many models/ applications. The Snap-on one looks trick and very strong. You really cant go wrong with Snap-on. Funnel prob has a lifetime warranty huh lol :D?

You know what's impressive? Not so much your bottle funnel but the cleanliness of your engine bay! OMG, you could eat off it! Wow, your Tacoma must be cherry. I envy you.

Hahaha!! Thanks. Yeah I've had a meal or two on it. It's great cause the engine also doubles as a plate warmer haha! Whenever I wash the truck, I spray the engine compartment out with the hose. Keeps it looking new. :D:D:D

Amsoil liter bottles work well too. They are square, which makes for a bigger mouth than the mobil ones.

I just made one out of a windshield washer bottle from wal-mart. Seems to fit nicely, will try it out next weekend when I change my oil.

JL audio. They have them on the JL website. It's a 3 port 1.0 gauge terminal. I used it for the big 3 wire upgrade.

Oops, no, I didn't mean I spilled THAT much oil:eek:, I meant I wasn't paying someone to do my oil changes. I have a way of justifying buying more tools, its a costly addiction. I like your inovation though, not sure if I said that before, even if you're not the first to think of it.

Haha!! My bad. I should have read that closer. Yeah I'm a tool nut also! No matter how many you have, youll always come across a job that requires new ones! I swear I'm gonna high jack a snap on truck one of these days lol!! That should hold me over for a while.

I have no doubt I'm not the first one to think of it but I had to share it. I couldn't believe how well it worked!! I'm glad so many people are benefiting from this.
