I haven't seen this posted here so I thought I'd share this little tip. For those of you who use Mobil 1, the thread pitch matches perfectly with the oil filler cap allowing you to use an empty bottle as a great funnel. I'm sure there are a few other brands that this works with too. Just thought I'd pass along this little tip.

Great idea. The only challenge is any time any type of funnel is used it helps to have a path for the air to escape. Yes it will eventually drain from the funnel but not nearly as fast. But I still give this two thumbs up. Since I do use Mobil 1. I wonder if just holding or attaching a straw to the inside of funnel that extended into the valve cover and then close to the top of funnel should solve said issue.

Wow, I'll give this a try. Always a good idea to put a towel or paper towel under there too, keep spills off the wires and valve cover

I'd like to find a funnel that holds a 5-quart jug on top, inverted, to let it drip out completely.
