Engine Oil Temps?

    I’ve noticed while monitoring engine data oil temps rarely hit above 200 f for me. Isn’t this a bit on the cool side? I thought oil I supposed to reach 230 or so to burn off contaminants but I’m generally seeing 190’s for both engine and transmission. In the pic they are matched but generally they are within a few degrees of each other.

    What are you guys seeing?

    I don't think we have an oil temp sensor. The computer estimates it.

    Interesting, so you think the PID is an estimation vs real data? Maybe this so why it seems to match or be close to the transmission temp all the time.

    V6 has electronically controled valve lift thermostat.
    Standard lift is 10 mm or more at 212°F.
