You'll notice a difference with a fan clutch vs the electric fans. And that noise from the ac, if its a hiss every once in a while I wouldn't worry about it. Both my Tacoma and my fathers do it. Mines done it since it was new

It's a pretty loud hiss; it follows an equally loud "inhale" is the best way to describe it....it sounds like my air conditioning has a terrible case of emphysema.

It works though, but I do remember one time I turned it on and the noise was louder than usual and all it blew out was warm air. I turned it off and back on, and it blew cold. I'm thinking the system needs some serious servicing.

it never hurts to check. another possibility is the fans not pulling enough air to effectively cool the Freon in the system

    never ending..
Just to chime in here for you as I had a heating issue as well, nothing severe, but this is what we found.
I noticed you said you are supercharged well so am I. The intercooler blocks a significant amount of airflow to both your radiator and your AC condenser.. I would bet $$ that that flex-a-lite setup was not intended for supercharged/4x4 vehicles. On a regular 4x4 "might" be ok as your airflow is not obstructed, but a prerunner would probably be able to run it better than you.

this lack of airflow is hurting both your AC and your engine cooling..
