Has anyone found a resource that gives the operating limitations for the V6 engine? I'm setting up an iPad engine indicating system with gauges for all sorts of temperatures, pressures etc.

I'm interested in the limits and normal operating ranges for oil temp, pressure, coolant temp, fuel flow, manifold pressure, and any other values.

I don't have official values, but I monitor a few things and can give you some observations that may be interesting for comparison:

Intake air temperature: Ambient +~3 degrees under light load and decent road speed. Up to 50 degrees over ambient after a hard run and then limited air flow (climbing hill off-road and then stopping at the top for instance).

Engine Coolant temperature: Runs about 185 degrees, will warm up to 205 under load (climbing long hills, off-road slow speed)

Automatic Transmission temperature (both values are usually pretty close unless drivetrain is cold): About the same as whatever the water temperature happens to be running. Will run about 205 when in low range even if engine coolant temperature is lower. will go over 210 on hard climbs. Highest I've seen is 240 during extended (10+ minutes) use of crawl control too get out of sand; it didn't go any higher and it appeared that crawl control has a temperature limit because it switched to a different mode (less slow-spin for sand recovery, more jerking brakes on and off) at that temp and then cooled down about 15 degrees. I've only done that once, so I can't say it would happen every time. Ambient temp was about 55 degrees.
