engine pinging?? 2015 DCSB w/ 40k miles

    My 15 doesn’t ping on 87 with 83K miles. I run a P.E.A type fuel system cleaner every oil change.

    Mine pinged, then I got the TSB around 20k miles, and it still pinged although a little less. Then I started using premium and it almost never pings and seems to have better power on the low end (like it is able to use more timing without pinging). I just run premium all the time. Pretty crappy situation.

    OP might be due for spark plugs too. That helped mine.

    Thanks for the tip. And I did change out my spark plugs at 35k miles. I'm at 40k and it just started pinging about a couple weeks ago. Yikes

    Got the same issue on my 13. Still pings with our shitty CA 91 octane gas. Thinking about doing the TSB but ive heard people had mixed results. Filling up with 91 is starting to get expensive, especially here in CA where we get fucked on gas prices for whatever reason.
