    Hey everyone,
Just wondering from those who have done the pull without removing the tranny, were you able to leave the motor mounts on the engine for pull?

If so, unbolting them from the motor or the truck?

    Thanks!

Yes, I was able to leave them on, I just removed the center nut to separate the motor mount from the frame mount. Remove the transmission mount bolts from the trans and jack it up a bit help with removal / installation.

Thanks, even with the trans lifted it seems like there is binding. How high did you have to raise the engine to get it to come?

    Thanks

If you have removed the 9 bell housing bolts and the 6 flex plate to torque converter bolts (automatic trans), it should come apart with a bit of wiggling. I had to lift it high enough to get the engine to line up with the trans but clear the studs on the mounts.

You can also unbolt the trans from it mount, as well as the carrier bearing, and shift the transmission back a tad.

Probably easier said for the manual though, since the automatic shifter is pretty stationary. Might be able to pull the plastic cover around the shifter, for extra room?
