    I have a 2007 Tacoma 2wd AUTO trans 2.7
I need a new motor and been looking used engines
My question is will a motor out of a donor truck that’s a MANUAL trans work fine to put into the body of my auto truck
Want to make sure before purchasing that no major differences ?

Yes any 05-15 2TR-FE from a Tacoma will work, only difference between auto and manual is the manual has a pilot bearing installed which is easily removed.
Do note that a 16-23 2TR-FE will not work.

Thank you very much going to look at motor tmrw that’s in a 2007 manual truck with 88k miles
I thought it was fine and would work but wanted to double check before purchasing. As I read on some older vehicles there is a difference in crank size auto vs manual supposedly
