So I swapped my non-tach instrument cluster with one that has a tach. I don't have an Ultraguage or any similar device, so I "set" the tach needle based on idle speed after the engine was warm using the idle speed specification in the FSM.

Just as a sanity check, can someone tell me what RPM the engine turns at 60MPH in 5th gear? I have a 3.4 V6, 5 speed, 4x4.

    Thanks.

Might want to mention what size tires you have. Sorry I couldn't tell you at this moment. My truck has 285/75/16 on it. I think mine runs at 1800 rpm's at 60

Think I'm also around 2100 or 2200 at 60 MPH. Not able to go drive atm but normal speed for me to and from work is about 70 MPH and 2600 RPM. Stock setup and wheels btw.

Yours don't sound any higher. It sounds like you're all in the same ballpark.
