    Greetings!

Have a 2013 DBL cab and with a key in the ignician, engine running not able to set the alarm. Factory alarm. There are times I would like to leave it running while loading / unloading and during power naps.

Previous trucks were able to arm / disarm with engine running.

    Thank You!

Your best bet is go aftermarket with a better alarm and options. I have an autopage RS730 LCD paging alarm with remote start that you can have it running with the key out of the ignition. You can also lock/unlock with it running and if for some reason some idiot tries to get in and shift in that mode, the engine will shut off when the brake is applied. Great alarm and cheaper than viper. I have always bought Autopage alarms for all present and past vehicles. Never had issues with them. I paid $350 installed by a local shop 3 yrs ago.
