So there is a TSB to replace the fuel pump? What years/models does it cover and what is the TSB number?

I thought our Taco was so quiet. I drive a Jetta TDI and also have a Jeep Wrangler TJ that I'm parting with that sounds like a jet engine half the time.

I have the same issue but really only heard it when I was outside of the truck. I brought it in and they said it was normal just like I'm sure they tell everyone... the dealer said it was some kind of cleaning cycle. I don't notice it any more.

You did not hear anything on your test drive? Sounds like a BS post to me.

My engine sounds like a sewing machine, perfectly normal.

Toyota’s always had noisy engines, nothing new. My buddy’s 2013 4.0 sounded like a tractor on a cold start up.
