Just bought an '09 4x4/4cyl manual which has factory skids on the front and the little one over the transfer case -- but the forward differential and its nearby components are completely uncovered! It looks as if they forgot to place the rear half of the engine skid. Doesn't this part exist?

That kinda sucks because my '06 came with both skids. They're thin and crappy though, so I don't think you're missing out on too much protection. It's more like a mud shield than a skid plate,.

all my skids do is trap mud so that it dries and stays sitting on top of the plate, then I have to take it off to clean it out.. its a pain in the ass
