Purchased a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport SR5 crew and noticed that you have to keep the key turned a bit longer to get it started. I have previously owned a Tundra and also have a 4Runner and they both start easier. Is this normal?

I would say probably normal, being a direct injected engine it takes a second or 2 for the mechanical high pressure fuel pump to build enough pressure to fire the engine.
